talking to another person is missing. In Genesis 3:1, when Satan coaxed Eve, he used the word in plural form referring to more than one person “ye”, and not “thou”.
Who did God talked to first after the fall? God talked to Adam alone. Who was driven out of the garden? According to Genesis 3:24, the man; Adam was driven out of the garden. Who was judged more harshly between Adam and Eve? It was Adam who was judged more harshly than Eve, because in Genesis 3:16 was saying that Eve will bring forth children in sorrow. It is very important to go back to the original Hebrew, and the word “children” in Hebrew was specifically meant as “sons”. Both words are very different, and this is saying that God was “prophesying” to Eve that she will give birth to two sons—one of them will kill another, which will result in her sorrows because she loved both of her sons. Many however believe that it was a verse about a curse to all mothers through the pain of childbearing. There was only one single verse for the woman in the judgment, and three verses for the man.
When Eve was exaggerating the command of God saying that even touching the tree would result in death, making as though God was overly strict and unjust. It was even before the fall in verse 3. In Genesis 2, God clearly did not say that touching would result death. One possible way that Eve knew about God’s command was through Adam, and this seems to echo to Genesis 4 when Cain talked to Abel.
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
